Our Vision

The L.N. Sahu Mahavidyalaya, Jagatpur persistently tries to build a learning culture, responsive to the needs of the community at large through value based education.

Our Activities
Student Union & Other Society:
Students Union
There shall be a students' Union in Lakshmi Narayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya as the sole tribune of students' opinion and organisation inside the college to foster unity and amity among its members in the interest of the institution. It shall be called the Lakshmi Narayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya Student' Union, Jagatpur.
Sahitya Samsada
1. There will be a Sahitya Samsada namely Lakshmi Narayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya Samsada.
2. All students of the college (both +2 and +3) shall be members of the Samsada.
3. Every student of the college shall pay to the Samsada's account in the college office subscriptions as determined every year at the time when he/she pays his first installment of college fees for the session.
4 The Samsada will arrange different literary competitions.
Natya Samsada
1. There will be a Natya Samsada namely Lakshmi Nayarayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya Natya Samsada.
2. All the students' of +2 and +3 wing of the college shall be the members of the samsada.
3. Every student of the college shall pay to the Samsada's account in the college office subscriptions as determined every year at the time when he/she pays the first instalment of college fees for the session.
4 The aim of the Samsada is to stimulate the artistic talents of the students by the methods of
a) Regular talent hunt        b) Sending the approved talents to various competitive fields.
5 The Samsada will organize drama and music competitions in the college. It may also stage drama; organize charity show and different cultural functions in the college.
6 The Executive Committee will consist of the following.
President – Principal (Ex-officio)
Vice-President – One or more teaching staff nominated by the Principal.
A Secretary and an Asst. Secretary elected by the Students.
Class representatives to be nominated by the Principal from each class.
7 Election to the Samsada shall be held along with the student's Union election on such a date and in such manner as the Principal may determine
8 The regular activities and the functions of the Samsada will be supervised by the Vice President nominated by the Principal.
9 Principal is the final authority to decide all matters relating to the Samsada.
10 The music fee collected will be utilized exclusively for the purpose by the Vice-President.
Krida Samsada
1 There will be a Krida Samsada namely Lakshmi Narayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya Krida Samsada.
2 All staff members of the college and all the students of +2 and +3 wing shall be the members of the Samsada.
The Day Scholars' Association
1. The Association shall be called Lakshmi Narayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya Day Scholar's Association.
2. The members of the Association shall be confined to the day scholars of the college (both +2 and +3 wing)
3. The object of the Association is to take up activities that will foster a spirit of fellowship and co-operation among all the day scholars of the college. It will organize Annual Competition in general knowledge, Jhoti/Alpana competition (for girls only) and Shree Ganesh Puja and Shree Saraswati Puja.
4 The Executive Committee of the Association shall comprise the following :

7 The secretary to be elected from its student members.
8 Asst. Secretary to be elected from the first year classes of +2 or +3 wing.
9 Class representatives to be nominated by the Principal.
National Service Scheme
The college has one N.S.S. Unit for boy students and another for girls at +3 level with a capacity for enrolment of fifty students' each functioning since 1988. Enrolment of volunteers is done at the beginning of the academic session. Applications to this effect are invited from students with an aptitude for social service. A two members of the teaching staff acts as the programme officer for N.S.S. Unit. At +2 level also thereis one male unit having capacity of fifty volunters
Youth Red Cross (Y.R.C)
There are 2 units of Youth red cross - in Lakshmi Narayan Sahu Mahavidyalaya, Jagatpur,Cuttack.both for males and females
Rovers & Rangers Unit
The College is having Rovers and Rangers Unit under, the 'BHARAT SCOUT AND GUIDE' Unit -3 BBSR The object of the movement is to develop good citizenship among the young men and Women by developing their character, health, handicrafts and skill and the spirit of service.
This programme deals with young men and Women of 17 to 25 years. The movement provides a progressive Programme of activities and achievement. Thus motto of the movement is, Do your best to 'Be prepared for service' and "Not me, But you".
